Summer School 2023 from june 5 to 9 in Zeitz

After a three-year break due to the pandemic, we are finally back this year: From June 5 to 9, we invite you to the old Nudelfabrik Zeitz in Saxony-Anhalt for Summer School! Summer School - that means five days of educational festival with professional exchange, further education, networking and change of perspective.

New demands on the prevention of right-wing extremism

In recent years, the demands on right-wing extremism prevention in work with young people have changed: In addition to the continued existence of violent right-wing extremism, right-wing extremist and misanthropic positions have become normalized far into the social mainstream. Furthermore, a strengthening of conservative gender and family images, increasing polarization and a radicalization of anti-democratic milieus can be observed. For the social confrontation with right-wing extremism and the prevention of misanthropic attitudes, the questions of mission and role, but also possibilities and limits of a contemporary prevention of right-wing extremism in youth work and educational work are therefore posed anew.

At the Summer School 2023 we would like to discuss these questions with you in lectures, workshops and workshops. We look at new, youth-relevant developments in the field of right-wing extremism and anti-democratic attitudes. We also want to discuss changes in youth work and in the life of young people that have an impact on the prevention of right-wing extremism. In doing so, we will also explore youth-oriented approaches to prevention work and educate ourselves on successful approaches and methods.

Educational festival for youth work, prevention and civic education

All interested pedagogical professionals and multipliers from youth work, youth cultural work, civic education and prevention work are cordially invited to the Summer School. The event will start on Monday, June 5, 2023, around 1 pm, and will end on Friday, June 9, also at 1 pm. We are seeking recognition of the Summer School as educational leave in several German states. The cost of participation ranges from 150 to 250 euros.
